FERSMAN MINERALOGICAL MUSEUM PUBLICATIONS

The journal "New Data on Minerals"

The periodical journal "New Data on Minerals" has been published since 1907. The journal was founded by an Academician V.I. Vernadsky. Subsequently, the Journal's title was changed as follows: "The Proceedings of Geological Museum", "The Proceedings of Mineralogical Museum", "The New data on USSR Minerals". And finally the Current title "New Data on Minerals" till date.
The journal is published in Russian and English language versions, and are made available in a PDF format on the Museum website.

Publisher: Fersman Mineralogical Museum of RAS.
First issue: 1907.
Frequency: once a year.
Languages: Russian and English.
Access to publications is free and immediate.

INFORMATION TO AUTHORS

Scientific periodical publication "New Data on Minerals» cover a wide range of problems in mineralogy, geochemistry, petrology, mineralogical and geochemical methods of search and evaluation of mineral deposits, as well as newsreels materials.
Authority - the journal has been published since 1907. V.I.Vernadsky, .A.E. Fersman, V.I. Kryzhanovsky, A.V. Shubnikov, D.S. Belyankin, P.N. Chirvinsky, A.N. Labuntsov, B. M.Kupletsky, I.V. Ginzburg, M.D. Dorfman, Yu.L. Orlov, G.P. Barsanov, V.S. Sobolev, L.K. Yakhontova and many other world-famous mineralogist published their works in the journal.
Speed – publication may appear in a week. The standard editorial cycle takes only 3 months.
Accessibility – all articles are freely available on the website of the Mineralogical Museum.
Convenience – manuscript submission, correspondence and editing takes place only in electronic form.
Quality – there are no restrictions on color drawings, the article can be supplemented with spreadsheets, photos, videos, etc.
Flexibility - wide choice of article style - from reviews to short messages. The possibility of thematic issues.

AUTHOR GUIDELINES

Constructive suggestions on the organization of the journal and the work of the editorial board, outlined in written (electronic) form, are welcome.

Currently, there is an ongoing collection of articles for the upcoming issues of the journal 2020 (Volume 54).
